Welcome to Cedar Run Song Workshops!

Our summer songwriting and performance week for 2008 will be held from Sunday, July 6 through Friday July 11 at the SevenOaks Pathwork Center in Madison, Virginia. Instructors for the week will be Kate Campbell, Tom Kimmel, Brooks Williams, Terri Allard, Kathy Hussey, Johnsmith, Joe Jencks, and Eric Garrison.

Since Cedar Run is an intentionally small program (with a limit of 8 students per class), it's important to register early. We were close to full last year, and we expect that this year will fill quickly.

If you'd like to be on the Cedar Run email list so that you can get the earliest possible news about our programs, just let us know at info@cedarrunworkshops.com.

Cedar Run Song Workshops is a program run by and for songwriters and singers. It is dedicated first and foremost to providing a learning experience directed by top-notch instructors who are remarkable for their artistic accomplishments and their dedication to teaching. At Cedar Run, we aim for the ideal of creating a living, breathing community of creativity for a week in which every participant can count on being inspired and challenged in a supportive environment that encourages artistic risk-taking and places high value on the joy of sharing the act of musical creation with others who value it as well.

In our songwriting and performance week, we offer courses in various aspects of songwriting and performance, along with classes in vocal and guitar technique to help you hone your craft and turn your Muse into an ally in your creative process. At Cedar Run, you can construct a holistic week of intensive work on several aspects of your musical life, or you can choose to concentrate on a particular issue, such as songwriting or vocal technique, and build yourself a schedule with lots of room in it for swimming, writing, or just relaxing.

We hope you'll spend a little time here to see what we're all about. You might also consider taking a look at the SevenOaks Pathwork Center's site at www.sevenoakspathwork.org. There, you can see pictures of the facility and learn something of its interesting history.

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I hope you'll join us!
